my photo essay

Pritesh Wadher

My chosen topic will be the radio.

I am taking these pictures so that people can understand and see the type of work radio presenters do and how they do it.

The planned audience for this photo essay will be the youths of Crawley so they know how radio stations work and how they are used.

The pictures that i plan on taking for this photo essay will include, pictures of a studio, pictures of mixers, mics etc.

My photo essay idea

world upside down

i have chosen this image because many people just look straight through it and dont really realise that the sign is there for a reason. Thats why i like this picture because with out the writting at the bottom it looks real;ly funny.

i took some time to focus onto the image but when i was there it went alright.

my second image is a photo of graffiti, i chose this image because no one ever looks up close at it. this also simbolises that the car park lifts are used for teenagers to graffiti. people are use to the environment with graffiti on it.

the image came out dark as i couldnt set the aperture and shutter speed.

camera obscura

what did you see while you were inside the camera obscura?

while we were in the camera obscura, at first we couldnt really see anything as our eyes were trying to get usto the light but then after acouple of minutes we started to see some objects moving. after some more time we could see buildings and more details.

how is this camera obscura similar to the inside of a camera?
how it is different?

the camera obscura is similar to a camera because the light is coming through a little hole just like a camera hole, the light will come through the hole and form an image upside down.
it is different because the camera obscura does not involve a camera.

why was the image upside down?

the light travels in a straight line and the light goes through a little hole thats why the top of the iamge becomes the bottom and the bottom becomes the top.
